Watch of the Week: Longines Conquest
If you’ve seen our February issue than you know two-tone watches are back. But these aren’t the gaudy gold accented timepieces associated with ’80s excess; this new breed brings a hefty, masculine edge to elegant silver and gold or black and gold pairings. Swiss watchmaker Longines’ Conquest watch is a prime example of two-tone 2.0, bringing stainless steel and 18K rose gold together into one handsome timepiece. The simplicity of the watch’s components (sleek black laquer face, bar indexes save for the twelve and six markers, clean bracelet links) are offset by the luxe materials used to create a watch that’s refined, but still incredibly modern. It’s the type of two-timer you’d be glad to have on your arm.
